Welcome to Human Algorithm, a newsletter that converges business, media, advertising, and marketing and focuses on technology, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
I’m Shawn Lim, a journalist with a decade of experience. I have served at various publications, including Campaign Asia, where I was the tech and media editor, and The Drum, where I covered digital, creative, advertising and media-related news and features in the APAC region.
Throughout my career, I have explored how brands navigate the complexities of ad tech platforms, digital media, and agency partnerships across the APAC region. My reporting has also highlighted critical topics such as LGBTQIA+ rights, the future of work, mental health, and gender equality in our industries.
