You don’t need to write more, you need to write deeper
This is the Human Connection Framework that helped me turn stories into clients.
A few years ago, I believed content was all about performance.
I would write headlines designed to trigger clicks, curate visuals meant to spark reactions and chase the algorithm like it was a god, rewarding me for playing by its rules. And for a while, it worked; I got attention, and I was visible. But deep down, I knew something was missing.
Because being seen is not the same as being felt, so what changed? Everything.
Coming out as gender-fluid in Singapore cracked open my entire approach to storytelling. Suddenly, I was not just writing to educate or entertain, I was writing to survive, to reclaim space, to reflect the parts of myself I had long buried beneath respectability, conformity, and ambition.
This shift is what I now call the Human Connection Framework. It is what I teach in my H.AL.O. Masterclass, every coaching session, every workshop, and every piece of content I publish.
In a world dominated by artificial intelligence, clickbait, and cookie-cutter advice, this framework is my antidote. It is about writing that breathes, writing that speaks not just to the brain, but to the body, the heart, and the history that lives inside your audience.
Let me break it down for you.
Level 1 is surface connection
This is where most content lives. Hooks, headlines and templates, and the “10 Tips for Better Productivity” zone. This is flashy, efficient, and forgettable, like the first time I posted a generic quote graphic and wondered why no one cared.
Surface content is great for grabbing attention, but it does not build trust and does not build anything that lasts.
Level 2 is intellectual connection
This is where frameworks and facts live, like “The Research-Backed Productivity Model” or “Here’s What the Data Says.” It is informative and useful, and it gets bookmarked, but it rarely gets shared with a feeling.
I once wrote an entire piece about narrative strategy that got polite applause and zero DMs. Why? It made sense, but it did not make an impact.
Level 3 is resonant connection
This is where everything changed for me, and it is what happened when I first wrote about walking down the street in a skirt in Singapore, and the cleaner who tried to chase me out of the bathroom.
It is what happened when I shared my past, as a teenager who got arrested twice, once locked in with grown men screaming for families who never came.
When I shared these stories, people remembered, and they told me my words helped them feel less alone. That is the power of resonance and speaks to both the mind and the nervous system. It makes your reader feel like they’ve just exhaled after holding their breath for years.
And the truth is, resonant connection is the only kind that builds a business, a brand, or a legacy.
It is why people hire me, not because I write well, but because I help them write in a way that finally feels like them. Not a LinkedIn version, not a performance, but a voice that holds scars and stardust in equal measure.
The stories I was once ashamed of, like getting laid off, being disillusioned with church, quitting alcohol after tracking my sleep with WHOOP, and parenting a neurodiverse daughter in a system that was not built for us, those are now the foundation of Human Algorithm.
Because the kicker is, while AI can write copy, it cannot write you.
You do not need more followers if you are a founder, creator, or leader. You need more resonance, which is what turns readers into clients and is what builds trust that cannot be copied.
So, ask yourself, are you writing to be seen, or to be felt?
If the answer is the latter, then start here and use the Human Connection Framework. Start from the surface, but don’t stop there. Add the insight, then dig deeper into the mess, the moment, the memory. The part of you no one claps for, but everyone connects with.
That is where your power lives, where your brand becomes unforgettable, and that is where your audience finally finds themselves in your story.
