Perfection made me credible until it made me invisible
How letting go of perfectionism and embracing imperfection to publish before I felt ready helped me build a business rooted in authenticity and trust.
I used to think perfectionism was professionalism and that every word, image, or campaign I put out into the world had to be flawless, airtight, polished, and ready to impress everyone.
That was what the media industry trained me to believe back when I worked in newsrooms and agencies, my worth was measured in precision and performance. I could spend hours rewriting a headline or debating the placement of a single comma because I thought that was excellence.
What I did not realise then was that perfectionism was a cage disguised as craftsmanship, and it was keeping me from creating anything truly alive.
