How to create unforgettable stories
The simple arc I use to make every post persuasive, emotional, and impossible to ignore.
When I first started telling stories online, I leaned too heavily on facts and frameworks. I thought credibility came from listing credentials and quoting research, so my writing was polished, but it read like a manual.
People nodded along without feeling anything, so I knew I had to find a way to make my ideas hit harder, but I did not yet understand how to do it without slipping into overhype or personal oversharing.
The turning point came when I stumbled on what I now call the Authority Story Arc. It gave me a way to structure my writing so that it was persuasive, emotional, and useful. Instead of starting with a tip or stat, I started with a disruption, which challenge a belief my audience held, and in doing so, I created an itch they wanted scratched. This was a declaration that what followed would be different from what they were used to reading.
