Five things I am grateful for this week
Sunday musings: Small signals and quiet momentum are the kind of growth you can’t fake.
Sometimes you just have to stop and take it all in to notice.
This week, I paused long enough to see the small but unmistakable signals that my work is landing, the kind you feel deep in your chest when someone says, “We want more of what you do.”
So here are five things I am grateful for this week.
A client asked to increase the number of hours I spend with them each week. It was not because of scope creep or things falling behind, but because the work was driving clarity.
They wanted more time to think, build, and refine with me in the room. That request came with trust, and for a one-person business like mine, trust is the rarest form of growth.
Secondly, I closed my biggest sale to date, which came through a referral from someone I worked with a couple of months ago. I sent a simple one-liner with the price.
They replied with “Let’s do it”, and the entire conversation took less than 10 minutes. I did not have to send slides or do a sales call, just a clear offer to meet someone who was already sold.
That’s the kind of sale that tells me I’ve done enough reps in public for the right people to find me.
Thirdly, another paying subscriber joined Human Algorithm, which brings me to 23 paying subscribers, out of 440 total. Every time that number goes up, even by one, I feel it.
I remember starting this newsletter not to scale, but to stay sane writing through parenting, through uncertainty, and to remember who I am. That someone out there pays for it still humbles me every time.
Fourthly, I launched the sales for Cohort 2 of the H.A.L.O. Masterclass waitlist this week. Only two people have bought so far, but that is enough before I open it up to the general public because every product I build is for one person first.
And finally, a new inbound lead arrived. A long-time friend reached out to explore personal branding for their financial advisory team and a custom writing workshop. I did not pitch, run a webinar or post a lead magnet.
They have been reading my work for a while and said it helped them think differently. That kind of lead is a direct result of visibility, clarity, and trust built in public over time.
If you read to this point, I am grateful for the quiet consistency I have managed to hold onto. Even when things feel slow and when doubt creeps in. I still show up, write and speak with my voice.
