Eight things I learned at the inaugural Ogilvy’s Creator Camp
Insights from someone who doesn’t “influence” for a living.
Nine months ago, I would not have been in this room.
It is not because I did not want to be there, but because I didn’t see myself as the kind of person who belonged.
I’m a one-person business, a queer, gender-fluid parent building a storytelling-led brand from scratch. I don’t sell products on TikTok, GRWM videos, and I am not a lifestyle creator.
I teach leaders how to write stories that build trust and drive sales. And for a long time, I thought the creator economy was not built for people like me.
But yesterday, I sat in a room filled with marketers, creators, platforms, and brand leads for the inaugural Ogilvy Creator Camp in Singapore.
I left with clarity, fire, and the understanding that the creator economy is growing up. And if you’re not in it, you’re missing where the future of influence, media, and marketing is heading.
