When I was working in newsrooms, I thought being good at solving problems meant being fast, the first to fix, file, and move on.

That mindset followed me into entrepreneurship, and it almost broke me because in business, clarity equals progress.

When I left corporate media to build Human Algorithm, I was chasing solutions to everything from revenue to visibility, but most of them were just distractions masquerading as productivity.

It took failure, layoffs, and parenting a neurodiverse daughter to realise that the best solutions are usually slower, smaller, and simpler than we expect.

These eight problem/solution structures came from that realisation and are built on the quiet lesson that fixing something starts with seeing it honestly.
